The Hendricks Hill Museum on Southport Island has added a new program this year, featuring small group tours of some specialized museum exhibits.  We are pleased to announce that Southport summer resident Dan Harle will be conducting a tour featuring the unique Boat House treasures that are in the Museum Annex on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 1:30 p.m. Topics on the tour will include a short history of Southport and its nautical past; the tools used by Southport boatbuilders and how they constructed their vessels; and a detailed inspection and explanation of the seven boats in the collection.

Only 12 visitors can be accommodated on the tour, so please call the Museum at (207) 633-1102 for reservations. There is no charge to participate, but donations to the Museum are always welcome.
