Taste for Place: Wine Tasting & Boat Cruise Aug. 9
Do you enjoy wine, water views and boat rides with friends? Do you love eating delicious food and learning new things? Do you find joy in supporting a worthy cause? If you answered yes to any of these, then get your tickets now for Boothbay Region Land Trust’s (BRLT) summer fundraiser Taste for Place: Wine Tasting & Boat Cruise! On Aug. 9, from 5-9 p.m, Boothbay Region Land Trust will again be working with Sommelier Erica Archer, Newagen Seaside Inn and Balmy Days Cruises in hosting the premier event of the season.
Erica Archer, founder of Wine Wise, a wine education events company based in Portland, will spend the evening sharing her passion and knowledge while guests enjoy hand-picked wines, paired with delectables prepared by Newagen Seaside Inn. Guests will then continue their wine education journey aboard the Balmy Days with Captain Bill Campbell, touring the region for views of land trust preserves.
This year’s event has an additional feature you won’t want to miss—an exclusive silent auction. Online bidding will be available to the public prior to the event, while Taste for Place attendees will have the final opportunity to bid the evening of the 9th. All specially selected items and experiences sold will directly support fundraising efforts for Boothbay Region Land Trust’s newest preserve, Oak Point Farm.
Auction items include a Boothbay Harbor Country Club golf package for four and gift certificate to Paul’s Steakhouse; a Wine Wise private wine tasting for ten; an original painting by Brad Betts; six tickets for The Perfect Tour charter cruise based in Surry, Maine; a silver and granite bracelet by Kathleen Jones Design; and a four-person private boat tour of Boothbay Harbor with lunch, on a custom 34-foot, Maine-built motor yacht.
Boothbay Region Land Trust is grateful to this year’s generous sponsors: Tindal & Callahan, First Advisors, Two Salty Dogs, PFBF CPAs, Wine Wise and Balmy Days Cruises. Tickets are $150/person and available at the BRLT office by calling (207) 633-4818 or online at bbrlt.org. We hope to see you there!
