Condé Nast Traveler has announced the results of its 31st annual Readers’ Choice Awards and Spruce Point Inn earned recognition as #3 among the Top 30 Resorts in New England. The announcement comes just as the resort finishes one of its best seasons ever, and on the heels of being named “Best Hotel in Maine” by readers of Down East Magazine. Yankee Magazine editors also spotlighted the resort as an Editors’ Pick for “oceanside lodging” in Maine in their annual Travel Guide to New England.

Both the Down East and Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Award honors were bestowed for the third year in a row.

“When the editors told us about the award, they said  ‘…[As] travel professionals, [you] have never stopped serving Conde Nast Traveler readers to the highest standards,’” said Angelo DiGiulian, innkeeper with Joe Paolillo of the Inn. “That could not be more true at Spruce Point Inn. Even though we’ve been recognized before as one of the best resorts in New England, that’s not enough. We strive each season to outdo the last. Nearly half a million Condé Nast Traveler readers submitted a recording-breaking number of responses rating their travel experiences to provide a full snapshot of where and how they  travel today.  

“The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as ‘the best of the best of travel,’” the editors noted in announcing the winners.

The 2018 Readers' Choice Awards are published exclusively on Condé Nast Traveler's website at www.cntraveler.com/rca and celebrated in the November issue on newsstands nationwide on Oct. 16.
