Rock skipping enthusiasts should mark their calendars for the 10th annual International Rock Skipping Contest, taking place this summer on Saturday, July 13 – one week later than usual.

The contest is organized and run by Orne’s Candy Store to benefit the Boothbay Region Food Pantry, and to provide fun for all the rock skippers from near and far. Sign-up begins at 9:30 a.m. on July 13, and the first rock will be skipped at 10:30 a.m. at the traditional place – next to the Footbridge in the Boothbay Harbor parking lot.
