New Health Center holds first fundraising event April 20
Those looking to cure their spring fever may want to celebrate on Friday, April 20 at Tugboat Inn in Boothbay Harbor. Boothbay Region Health Center will hold its first fundraising event from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
The event has been in the works since January. The region’s new walk-in family practice opened Jan. 8.
“We hope to raise awareness for the newly opened Health Center and raise funds. BRHC is a charitable organization that relies on the support of the community to provide affordable healthcare to the region,” the center’s secretary-treasurer Liz Lussier said.
Tickets are available for $25 until April 15 at the Health Center and the Tugboat Inn office.
After April 15, the ticket price will be $30. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the day of the event. Each ticket will provide guests with lots of hors d’oeuvres, two beverages (beer, wine, or soda) and live music by David Clark and Molly Pitcher.
Sponsors include Dr. John Andrews, First National Bank, Good ’N You Fuel and Service, Hawke Motors, J. Edward Knight & Company, Jim and Marie Dobens, Knickerbocker Lake Association, Inc., Whispering Winds of Change, Nat Wilson Sailmaker, Crow Point Yoga, Ashlea Andrews, Harbor Tech Solutions and Hannaford.
In addition to ticket sales, a silent auction will be held as an important part of the fundraising event.
Chairman Marcia Soler said, “We’re grateful to the sponsors and donors that have made this fundraising event possible. We’re also grateful to Bonnie Stover and the Tugboat Inn and Restaurant for their support.”
