Friday, Nov. 10 will mark the 242nd Birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps. There will be a celebratory party hosted by local Boothbay area Marines to mark the occasion, and it will be held at the American Legion Post 36 Hall in Boothbay from noon until 2 p.m. All Marines and friends/relatives are invited to join us, and there is no charge.
A cookout lunch will be served, and events will include the traditional birthday cake cutting ceremony, a raffle, slide show, and the playing of the annual Commandants Birthday message. Best of all will be the great camaraderie shared by all Marines and those who served with them. Please join us!
