Journey into the past at the Maine State Aquarium

This season, visitors to the Maine State Aquarium may take a trip down memory lane. The aquarium has launched an interactive, walking, history tour and exhibit entitled “A Bygone Era.”
Desiree Genthner has put her degree in history to good use as an interpreter at the Aquarium and for other organizations in Midcoast Maine. She designed a tour to bridge the gap between the Department of Marine Resources’ research facility of the past with today’s endeavors. Participants will enjoy learning about McKown Point and its ties to lobsters, fish and seals.
