In this holy season of Christmas and during the Festival of Lights, the community is invited to Journey to Bethlehem, a dramatic guided walking tour of the birth of Jesus, the “Light of the World,” at Boothbay Baptist Church Saturday and Sunday evenings, Dec. 9 and 10.

The tour begins in the sanctuary with Christmas music and then proceeds outdoors through dramatized vignettes of the nativity, the story of the coming of Jesus to bring light, love, peace and joy to mankind. Live animals and warming fire pits will add to the experience. Participants are invited at the end of their tour to enjoy refreshments and fellowship downstairs in the church’s Fellowship Hall.

Groups on the tour will be staggered between 6 and 8:30 p.m., so come any time between then and stay as long as you wish. This is a free, family-oriented event designed to share the incredible love of God in the promised arrival of the Savior.
