Halloween parade moved to fire station
UPDATED: The Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library has announced that its annual Halloween Parade scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 31 will now take place in the Boothbay Harbor Fire Station beginning at 4 p.m., according to BHML Executive Director Joanna Breen. The decision was a collaborative effort between the library, the police department, fire department, and the town, with help from officer Larry Brown and fire chief Nick Upham.
The change was made due to the weather forecast of rain and wind on Thursday and Friday.
“Dress up and drop by! Drop in a for a funky trunk-or-treat-style micro-parade. Enter through the town office, wind through tables collecting candy from reps from local businesses, and play games with the Methodist Church ... plus some eyeballs and brains,” sai Breen. Breen said at least 15 businesses will be handing out candy.
The event will be held from 4 to 5 p.m.
