As part of Meredith Fowlie's guidance classes at Southport Central School, the entire school created Halloween cards per the request of a 7-year-old Biddeford boy named Brock who is battling cancer. Singer/songwriter Jud Caswell will lead a musical service on Sunday, Nov. 5, at the Midcoast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Porter Meeting Hall of Skidompha Library. An active member of the Brunswick UU Church, Jud is a multi-instrumentalist who is a full-time musician and a performer, teacher and owner of Frog Hollow (recording) Studio. The Boothbay Baptist Church held its Trunk or Treat event at the Boothbay Region YMCA Monday night, Oct. 30. While most of the peninsula was still without electric power due to the early morning storm, the Y had power and welcomed all to the family event. We’ve added a couple of photos that didn’t appear in print this week to this week’s At a Glance.
