Dates set for school votes
Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor residents have several upcoming opportunities for their voices and votes to be heard on school developments. The Community School District (CSD) will be hosting a bond referendum in April, the FY26 budget meeting is in May, and the Budget Validation Referendum is in June.
April 17, the CSD School Committee approved the FY26 public budget meeting and called the warrant for the Budget Validation Referendum. The meeting and public hearing for the proposed $11.4 million school budget will be at 6 p.m. May 7 at the Boothbay Region Elementary School Gym. The Budget Validation Referendum is set for June 10 at regular town voting places.
Residents will also vote April 24 on an up to $1.6 million bond referendum that would fund prioritized repairs to both Boothbay region elementary and high schools. Voting will be held at town polling locations.
