Curry School of Dance 13th Annual Spring Dance Demonstration April 1995
As written 30 years ago in April 1995:
The lights came on, the curtains parted and young dancers took to the stage for nearly two hours Saturday evening as the Curry School of Dance and its director, Kandra Ayotte, presented the 13th Annual Spring Dance Demonstration.
Nearly 75 dancers from pre-school age to high school, as well as Miss Kandra, performed for a crowd of nearly 600 people at Porter Memorial Gymnasium. The 21-act program featured ballet and tap dancers, who have worked for weeks and years on their skills.
Dressed in costumes prepared by the mothers of some of the dancers, the dancers danced in front of a decorative set created by Dan Mayotte and Dwight Lewis.
The dancers were given a sustained round of applause and were presented flowers as they stood on stage at the end of the demonstration.
