Cleyton Splaine receives BRHS Principal's Award
Cleyton Splaine, a senior at Boothbay Region High School has been selected to receive the 2025 Principal's Award, Principal Tricia Campbell announced today. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals' Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior's academic achievement and citizenship.
"Throughout his years at BRHS, Cleyton has distinguished himself in the classroom, in athletics, and as a leader in the school and the community," Dr. Campbell noted in making the award. “Cleyton works well with people. He is very kind, considerate, and personable. Cleyton is often approached by others for guidance. He includes them in any decision-making process by coaching answers from them. He is a great collaborator. He very much deserves this recognition."
Cleyton, Dr. Campbell and other award winners and their principals will attend an Honors Luncheon at Jeff’s Catering on Saturday, April 5 at 12:30 p.m.
The Honors Luncheon recognizes these outstanding students with the presentation of an individual plaque and the awarding of ten $1,000 scholarships in the names of former Maine principals and MPA Executive Directors: Horace O. McGowan, Richard W. Tyler, and Richard A. Durost.
