Celebrate Father's Day with Tom DiMenna
This Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15 at 5 p.m. treat dad—and the whole family—to a powerful and nostalgic musical experience with Maine-based singer/songwriter Tom DiMenna. Tom will perform his acclaimed show, "Story Songs of the '70s" at the historic Lincoln Theater.
Hailed by Aimsel Ponti of the Portland Press Herald—“I can’t say enough good things about Tom”—DiMenna’s heartfelt tribute breathes new life into the timeless works of Cat Stevens, Gordon Lightfoot, and Harry Chapin. Backed by a skilled ensemble, Tom captures the essence of the ‘70s with uncanny vocal resemblance, intricate guitar work, and a passion for storytelling that echoes the spirit of the era.
DiMenna's journey to the stage is as colorful as the music he honors. From quarterbacking an Italian semi-pro football team to training at The Second City improv theater, Tom’s winding road has led to a unique blend of humor, heart, and musicality. After a successful off-Broadway run and the release of his debut album "You Know Me, My Devil Says" in 2020, he embarked on a sold-out Cat Stevens tribute tour in 2021. Now, his expanded set pays homage to three of the greatest narrative songwriters of the 20th century.
Lincoln Theater, located at 2 Theater St. in Damariscotta. T Whether you're a lifelong fan or hearing these legendary songs for the first time, the show promises a joyful, toe-tapping journey through the soundtrack of a generation. Tickets are $25 at LincolnTheater.org or at the door 30 minutes before showtime; tickets are $23 for Lincoln Theater members, and just $5 for youth (18 and under).
