Bet’s Fish Fry is ‘better than Britain’s’

A couple from outside London, England stopped at Bet’s Fish Fry in Boothbay Center on May 29. And they couldn’t believe how good it was.
David and Wendy Fitzsimmons were here visiting their cousin, Susan Morris, who has lived here for 10 years, and says she’s a transplant from Canada.
Morris said she had four days in which to show them the best Maine has to offer. Bet’s Fish Fry was one of their first stops.
The Fitzsimmonses said that the fried haddock at Bet’s was bigger and better than what they get in London, which is famous for its fish and chips.
Owner Bet Finocchiaro concurred. “It’s the best (expletive) fish on the peninsula!”
