YMCA Tree of Giving
Dear Editor:
In the wake of the holiday season, we are left humbled by the efforts of our community that ensured the children in the region had a festive Christmas. Never before has the spirit of giving been stronger. Through the generosity of so many, children in over 50 families had gifts under their trees this year. Young girls have warm coats and “Frozen” dolls; growing boys have new snow boots and Lego sets. The gifts provided to these kids will have positive impacts well past Dec. 25; these gifts are going to keep them happy and warm for many months to come.
We are profoundly grateful to everyone that bought a gift, made a cash donation, inquired about applications on behalf of friends and family, or helped in ways that we are unaware of. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Specifically, we would like to thank McSeagull’s, the members of the Coast Guard station, the Boothbay Region Garden Club, all those who fulfilled the wishes through the BRES Angels program and the Boothbay Region YMCA’s Tree of Giving.
