Three panelists will give a presentation, "A Layperson's Guide to EMS," at the Boothbay Region YMCA on Monday, Oct. 5. The free public event will begin with light refreshments at 5:30 p.m., followed by the presentation from 6 to 8 p.m.

The speakers will include Rick Petrie, Scott Lash and Jen Orchard.

Petrie, EMT-P, is the executive director of Atlantic Partners EMS and Regional Mid Coast EMS coordinator. He will share a state overview of the EMS system and Boothbay Region Ambulance Service's role in the system.

Lash, BRAS director of operations, and Orchard, financial consultant, will share BRAS's volume statistics and budget.
