Dear Editor:

I’m writing to support a “Yes” vote on question 1 on the ballot next week. Current education research has shown that spending on the right things educationally means long term gains for students as they become adult earners. The expenditures in question 1 are indeed “the right kind” including better equipped classrooms, new learning spaces, improved special education facilities to mention just a few. Additionally, the money from this bond will go toward fixing some long-term structural shortcomings of BRES. All in all, the result will be a better school for the kids of coming generations; a worthwhile investment.
