To our dear teacher, friend, and mother, Kathy Hartley:

Thank you for living your passion as a teacher. You’ve touched so many hearts and minds over the last 22 years. As a teacher your brilliant creativity, bubbling enthusiasm, gentle guidance, and kind humor has supported your students along their journeys. You’ve brought out their best and cultivated their creative zest for life. And you’ve inspired more joy, passion, and love throughout the entire community.

Your final school year as a teacher is coming to a close and, we’d like to take a moment during this busy time to recognize all that you have contributed. We love you, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Chime in with your “Words of Comfort for Kathy”

Ms. Hartley absolutely loves getting letters, so we’d like to invite the community, her students and parents, past and present, to write “Words of Comfort and Remembrance” to her over the next two weeks. These letters and notes could be favorite memories, projects that touched your heart, funny and tender moments of school days past, or a favorite poem or practice inspired by time spent with her.

They can be sent to: Kathy Hartley, Boothbay Region Elementary School, 238 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538.

Thank you Mrs. Hartley! May your next chapter be full of love and adventure!
