What a prom night!

    Dear Editor:

What a wonderful Saturday for the first prom in two years. The crowd was large and the dresses were beautiful for pictures at Barrett’s Park. We could not have asked for a better day.

Thank you so much to the restaurants that participated in the “Dine out for Prom”  fundraiser for the Class of 2023 - Robinson’s Wharf, Coastal Prime, Carriage House, Mine Oyster, and The Boathouse Bistro. Thank you to Brady’s and Thistle Inn for their generous donation.

Spruce Point Inn donated their fabulous wedding hall for the prom, thank you Spruce Point Inn! The evening was filled with pictures, dancing, food, and a lot of fun. They did a fantastic job ensuring we had everything we needed!  A special thank you to Kasey Penn who was in constant contact with our prom committee and made sure everything ran smoothly!

Another thank you to AV Systems of Maine LLC who generously donated their equipment to us so we could have a good dance with good music.

We would also like to thank Kevin Burnham at the Boothbay Register for helping us advertise! Without him we would not have been able to raise the money we did.

Last but not least, we’d like to thank Ms. Graham, our prom committee advisor.  Bar Clarke for pictures, Mrs. Campbell, Mr. Crocker, Ms. Burnham, and the other junior class advisors for chaperoning, as well as the Battles family, Blake family, Barter family, Newcastle Reality, and our anonymous donors for their help and support. Also a huge thank you to our senior class of 2022 for their donation to us!

Thank you community and congratulations to the graduating senior class of 2022.
