    “Somewhere in Queens” - (R; 1 hour, 47 minutes) -  Leo Russo (Ray Romano) lives a simple life in Queens, New York with his wife Angela (Laurie Metcalf), their shy but talented son “Sticks” (Jacob Ward), and Leo’s close-knit network of Italian American relatives and neighborhood friends. When the high-school senior gets a surprising and life-changing opportunity to play basketball in college, Leo jumps at the chance to provide a plan for his future, away from the family construction business. But when sudden heartbreak threatens to derail Sticks, Leo goes to unexpected lengths to keep his son on this new path. Final showtime Thursday, June 8 at 2 p.m.

    National Theatre Live presents: “Othello” - (3 hours) - A bright, headstrong daughter of a senator is elevated by her status but stifled by its expectations. A refugee of slavery; having risen to the top of a white world, finds that love across racial lines has a cost. Wed in secret, Desdemona and Othello crave a new life together. But as unseen forces conspire against them, they find their future is not theirs to decide. Clint Dyer directs an extraordinary new vision for one of Shakespeare’s most enduring tragedies, with a cast that includes Giles Terera (Death of England: Face to Face), Rosy McEwen (The Alienist) and Paul Hilton (The Inheritance). Playing for two screenings only, Thu Jun 8 at 7 PM and Fri Jun 9 at 2 PM. Tickets: $15 Adult, $13 LT Member, and $5 Youth 18 and under.

    “Chevalier” - (PG-13; 1 hour, 47 minutes) - Inspired by the incredible true story of composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. The illegitimate son of an African slave and a French plantation owner, Bologne (Kelvin Harrison Jr. in a tour de force performance) rises to improbable heights in French society as a celebrated violinist-composer and fencer, complete with an ill-fated love affair and a falling out with Marie Antoinette (Lucy Boynton) and her court. Playing Friday, June 9 at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 10 at 2 and 7 p.m., Sunday, June 11 at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 14 at 2 and 7 p.m., and Thursday, June 15 at 2 p.m. 

    Talking Aquaculture in Maine: The Super Powers of Seaweed - A new free series of conversations with innovators who are making a substantial contribution to aquaculture here in the state of Maine. Join host Molly Miller, PhD, of the Island Institute as she welcomes special guests Fiona de Koning, and Afton Vigue, for a discussion on Women on the Water! Dive into the experience of women in the aquaculture industry! While there have been more female farmers in the last five years than ever before, Maine’s aquaculture industry is still a male-dominated sector. We’ll learn about the various roles these impressive women have in the aquaculture industry as well as the challenges they face. From farmers and business owners to research and industry leaders, we have a breadth of experience and knowledge to share with you about the current state and future trajectory of aquaculture in Maine.
