“Civil War” - (R; 1 hour, 49 minutes) - In the 2024 dystopian action film “Civil War,” written and directed by Alex Garland, a team of journalists embarks on a perilous journey across a fractured United States engulfed in the Second American Civil War. Led by Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and Nick Offerman, they traverse the nation, racing against time to reach Washington, DC, before rebel factions seize control of the White House. Wednesday, May 1, 2 p.m. (OCAP), Thursday, May 2, 7 p.m.

"Frightening, even-tempered, and disarmingly humane, Civil War is intelligent precision filmmaking trained on an impossible subject." – Rocco T. Thompson, Slant Magazine

“Wicked Little Letters” -  (R; 1 hour, 40 minutes) - Set in a 1920s English seaside town, "Wicked Little Letters" is a riotous mystery comedy based on a stranger-than-fiction true story, following the antics of Edith (Olivia Colman) and Rose (Jessie Buckley). When deeply conservative English local Edith Swan and her rowdy, foul-mouthed Irish migrant neighbor Rose Gooding are implicated in a series of wicked letters, a national uproar ensues, leading to a trial. However, as the town's women, led by Police Officer Gladys Moss, investigate the crime themselves, they suspect Rose may not be the culprit. Opening Friday, May 3, 7 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 7 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2 p.m. (OCAP), Thursday, May 9, 7 p.m.

“Colman and Buckley know how to make this material sing, and there are moments when both actors managed to make me squeeze out an authentic tear or two, only to have me enthusiastically giggling a scene or two later.” – Sara Michelle Fetters, MovieFreak.com

Coming in May: “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” “The Fall Guy,” and “Unsung Hero.”
