It’s Retro Week at Harbor Theater with “Singing in the Rain” playing now and “Jurassic World Dominion” coming soon!  The Theater is now open seven days a week: nightly at 7 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m.

“Downton Abbey: A New Era” - (PG; 2 hours, 5 minutes) Last two days! The much-anticipated cinematic return of the beloved cast follows them as they go on a grand journey to the South of France to uncover the mystery of the Dowager Countess' newly inherited villa. There’s also a celebration as widower Tom Branson and maid Lucy Smith get married at Downton Abbey. And word has it that Lady Mary decides to make a “motion picture” at the grand estate... “the modern era comes to Downton,” she says. Plays at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 1 and Thursday, June 2.

“Singin’ in the Rain” - (1952 - Rated G; 1 hour, 43 minutes) All tickets $6 for all shows! Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of what many critics consider the best musical comedy ever made with us. It’s full of memorable music, fantastic dance routines and a story that will make your heart sing. Who can ever forget Gene Kelly “Singin’ in the Rain” around a streetlight, or the young lovers on a ladder crooning to each other? How can you resist seeing it one more time on the big screen when all tickets are only $6?

Directed by Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen, and set in the late 1920s, the story focuses on actors when films began to move from silent to sound. Entire careers were suddenly abruptly ended when the voice of a silent movie star didn’t match her glamorous looks. Starring who else but Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, Donald O’Connor, Jean Hagen, Cyd Charisse, Betty Comden and Rita Moreno. See it at 7 p.m.  Friday, June 3,  Saturday, June 4, Monday, June 6, Tuesday, June 7, Wednesday, June 8 and Thursday, June 9; or on Sunday, June 5 at 2 p.m

“A wonderful parody of the birth of talkies that has great wit, an intelligent script, terrific music and dancing that can't be beat.”-San Francisco Chronicle

Coming Soon: “Jurassic World Dominion” – (Rated PG; 2 hours, 26 minutes) - This summer, experience the epic conclusion to the Jurassic era as two generations unite for the first time. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are joined by Oscar®-winner Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill in Jurassic World Dominion, a bold, timely and breathtaking new adventure that spans the globe. From Jurassic World architect and director Colin Trevorrow comes this new Dominion that takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live–and hunt–alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures. Opens Friday, June 10, 7 p.m.!

COVID policy: The CDC now recommends universal wearing of masks at all times when indoors. Let’s follow its advice and make this a safe place while the pandemic is still around us.
