Dear Editor:

The other day I had a conversation with Chris Johnson. I asked him about his children and grandchildren and he spoke of them with great love and pride.

We need people like Chris in office. People who not only work hard to get the job done in Augusta, but remain loving parents and grandparents. Chris is always there to listen to the questions. Whether it be a grandchild, a senator, a governor, or a friend down the way, he is there to listen.

We would be lucky to have Chris Johnson working for us. He would be there for all of us all the time. He would be with us from Monhegan Island to Fort Kent.

He would watch out for problems that need solving. And he would get them solved, and make sure they remained solved.

As former Sen. George Mitchell advised his leaders, “listen, be patient, and respect those with whom you disagree.” That is Chris. We need to put him in office.
