I hope the Trump administration will quickly re-establish funding for USAID.

One might not be aware that USAID in the 1950s convinced the Taiwanese and Korean governments to undertake nationwide land reform. Farmers were paid in government bonds which could be invested in government established factories, setting off Taiwan’s and Korea’s post-war economic miracles … which in turn bolstered economic growth throughout Asia at a time when it was under Comintern attack.

Subsequently, it's well known that USAID established a worldwide net of aid and development establishing America’s leadership globally.

Unbelievably Trump has now wiped out USAID with a stroke of a pen.

I urge full funding for USAID be immediately restored, subject to reforms and economies the Secretary of State sees fit.
