Voting mystery can be solved

Tue, 12/11/2018 - 9:00am

Dear Editor:

I just wanted to share my thoughts about the bad ballots being discovered in Boothbay. I believe the folks that have reported this and signed affidavits saying so are telling the truth and are not delusional or having a bad memory.

Certainly, hindsight is better than foresight and if they had to do it all over during the election they would have brought the bad ballot to an election official. There are way more than just 17 voters in the Boothbay region who have contacted Stephanie Hawke about this problem. The number now is closer to 100 voters complaining about this election problem. There were only 1,489 votes in Boothbay. It wouldn’t take long to review these ballots and settle this matter. Ballot machines are not infallible.

It seems this mystery could be solved simply if the Secretary of State would just review the ballots.
