Dear Editor:

I was lucky enough to sit down with Forrest Carver of Edgecomb, recently and what a youthful asset to this community he is!

Forrest grew up here in Edgecomb and is now raising his family in the same town he's always called home. My wife first met him at a Historical Society meeting and I soon learned he's also an active member of our fire department. His deep roots and commitment to community service speak volumes.

I've personally called Edgecomb home for over 20 years. We moved here because of the positive stories we heard when we asked about the school and the welcoming nature of the community, especially for young families. My boys attended Edgecomb Eddy and had wonderful teachers and experiences. That school is truly a cornerstone of our town.

Edgecomb has a proud history, and I believe it's time to look toward its future with fresh perspective and steady hands. Forrest Carver brings both. I'll be voting for Forrest Carver for the Edgecomb Select Board on May 17 - and I hope you will too!
