Dear Editor:

I first spoke with Representative Holly Stover about issues important to me when she knocked on our door while campaigning, taking the time to listen to our concerns. It quickly became apparent that she is a patient, conscientious listener well versed on all the major issues that effect everyone in House District 48 who live in Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Southport, Edgecomb, Westport Island and South Bristol.

Holly has a long career in community service working in fields that directly impact quality of life. In the last four years, as our Representative, she has been enacting legislation to protect those struggling with the effects of the opioid epidemic and has worked to gain funding for centers to provide support for victims of sexual assault. She continues to work for better insurance coverage for primary care and for increased dental services.

With an eye on the overall health of our district, she has also focused on the health of our vital ocean resource - working to keep it free of plastics.

It’s important to me that Holly knows good health care goes hand in hand with a healthy sustainable environment.

By voting to re-elect Holly on Nov. 8, she can continue the impressive work she’s been doing for us all.
