Chuck Cunningham reclaimed a Boothbay selectmen’s seat by receiving the most votes in a three-person race for two seats July 14. Cunningham garnered 588 votes and incumbent Mike Tomacelli won the other seat with 537. Former Selectman Stephen Ham finished third with 390. Cunningham and Tomacelli were elected to three-year terms.

In the Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Superintending School Committee election, Abigail Jones received 359 votes in defeating Kathleen Pearce with 233 and Steven Edwards with 161.

There was no candidate for Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Community School District Trustee. However, incumbent Ashleeanne Lowery, who decided not to seek reelection earlier this year but said she would serve another three-year term if she received write-in votes, did receive five write-in votes and she said she will serve again.

Boothbay Region Water District Representative Kevin Anthony ran unopposed and received 729 votes in winning a three-year term. Sara Fahnley received 750 votes running unopposed for a three-year term on the Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Cemetery District Board of Trustees.

In the town meeting referendum vote, all 32 articles passed in the $2,201,045 municipal budget, up 1.4%.
