UPDATE: Search still on for missing Boothbay man

    Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies continue their search for Thomas P. Harris, age 60, who was last seen the evening of Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, working in the yard outside his home at 170 Butler Road, Boothbay.

    Following up on a citizen’s tip, the Sheriff’s Office searched another area of interest on Sunday, Jan. 15 in the Boothbay region using drones. Nothing of significance was observed during these flights.

    Yesterday, Jan. 16, the Maine Wardens Service searched a quarry and two ponds near Thomas’s home with their submersible “rover.”  These searches took about eight hours to complete. Nothing was found.

    Wednesday, Jan. 11, Maine Warden’s Service helped by flying its plane over the Boothbay area searching for any signs of Harris.Nothing of significance was observed.

    Assisted by Bangor Police Department, investigators have followed up on a tip that Harris might have been sighted in Bangor the weekend of Jan. 7. This turned out to be a different person.

    Tuesday, Jan. 10, with help from Brunswick Police Department, another area was searched by a drone. Nothing was found.

    Harris is a white male, brown graying hair, blue eyes, 5’10” and 120 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, camo pants and work boots.
