It is moving to see all the photos of U.S. veterans on our roads, including that of our family’s World War II veteran. So it is enraging to read that Trump claims that ‘’Russia defeated Hitler,’’ U.S. News and World Report, July 26; Emma Colton, Fox News, Feb. 23.

Russia alone? Never mind the some 400,000 brave Americans fighting to achieve joint victory in Europe in World War II —many to end up in military cemeteries as the “suckers” and “losers’’ Trump has derided?

With his dyed hair and all that pancake makeup, Trump is further unmanned by the example set by real men he can never match, who fought and died for us on the beaches of Normandy, in the forests of the Battle of the Bulge.
