Truck hits YMCA building

Boothbay Harbor Police Officer Larry Brown said Thursday afternoon, Benjamin Clifford, 26, of Boothbay Harbor was traveling north on Townsend Avenue around 2 p.m. when he lost control of his pickup truck, which flipped on its side and hit the YMCA building.
Boothbay Harbor Fire Department and Boothbay Region Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
Clifford was alone while operating the truck and his injuries, if any, are unknown at this time.
The scene was cleared around 2:45 p.m.
