The Men's Group of the First Congregational Church in Wiscasset has invited Bruce Barlow, a resident of Westport Island, to show slides and speak about his recent trip across America.

Bruce traveled 39,000 miles in a Chevy Express Cargo Van and returned with some wonderful stories and pictures. Bruce said he was inspired by William Least Heat-Moon's "Blue Highway" and Steinbeck's "Travels With Charlie."

His presentation will be at the church at 28 High Street on Tuesday, March 4 at noon. Coffee and refreshments will be served. The event is open to the public.
