Trey Alexander James, 19, from Standish, passed away Dec. 8, 2016 in a car accident just a few days away from his 20th birthday. He was born in Bath, Maine Dec. 16, 1996.

He was proud to have graduated early from Wiscasset High School in the winter of 2015.

As a little boy he had his horses Ozzy and Missy-Poo, his donkey Gus, and a pig that he named HoneyMoon that he caught during the pig scramble at Windsor Fair.

As a young adult he loved anything motorized, from fast cars, to 4-wheelers, to boats. One of his favorite things was RC cars. He had many and rebuilt them always to be faster. He built ramps and raced them in the parking lot with neighbors. He voted in his first election for President. He liked going to fairs. He enjoyed going to the farm and spending time in nature. Hanging out with his brother Trinin and friends was always a favorite. He was loyal and true through and through. He always had "their backs." He helped others out when they needed it, and was known for his wicked sense of humor. Trey was Trey.

He worked at many different jobs throughout his short life. He  looked forward to helping his Uncle Donny, whom he looked very much up to, sell Christmas trees at his stand each year.

He was good with younger children and was a natural leader especially with at-risk kids.

He had a huge heart and always said “Love You” when he left. He is greatly missed. I will love him forever and always. Love you more, Gram

He is survived by his mother Jessica James and fiance Rob Colson of Standish; father Joey Hopkins and wife Jessica of Waldoboro; brother Trinin Jeffery of Wiscasset; grandmother Susan James of Standish; grandparents Deb Greene & Tom George of Walpole; and grandfather Tim James of Wiscasset. He was extremely close to his Aunt Lindsey James of Standish; and his Uncle TJ James and wife Nan of San Marco, California. He also had many aunts, uncles, and cousins that he loved spending time  and playing basketball with. He is survived by half brothers and sisters.

Cremation was done by Dolby Funeral Chapels in Windham. No burial has been made at this time.
