May’s potluck was a great success with more than 45 people in attendance. Wendy must have picked every flower in bloom in her gardens as the tables were all beautifully and colorfully decorated with spring flowers. Everyone enjoyed the great variety of food offerings as there were many empty serving bowls at the end of the evening. Paul and Wendy, ably assisted by Kristen and Anne, did a great job hosting for the evening.
Special thanks to Roy for the grass cutting at the hall and to Paul and Paul for tree trimming and branch hauling. The hall grounds are looking good.
Heads up. Our July potluck will be hosted by the Spofford Lane folks and will feature a cook local theme. Put your thinking caps on so that you can bring something that has a local connection.
The Barters Island yard/plant sale is scheduled for June 28. That is next week folks. Just remember that clothing and oversized furniture cannot be accepted. We are happy to take your tables, chairs, bureaus, etc. If you don’t have room to store items until next week, give Louise a call (350-4032), otherwise items can be dropped off at the hall June 23-25 from 8 to 1 and June 26-27 from 8 to 3.
We need people to help set up and help the day of the sale. Just let Louise know your area of expertise, i.e. pricer, money handler, cleanupperer, and she will find something for you to do.
And don’t forget that living plants and gardening/outdoor items are included in the sale so donations of those items are needed as well. Give Judy a call (633-541) if you can help in this area.
