Who doesn't love a chance to look around a shiny fire truck, a big dump truck, or a speedy race car?  There’s going to be the opportunity to explore those and many other vehicles at Wiscasset Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Darling’s Ice Cream for a Cause truck will also be there to supply delicious snacks. Admission is $5 for adults and children 7 and up, while children 6 and under can attend for free; $20 for a family of 4 or more. This is definitely a family-friendly activity.

Thanks to Richard and Vanessa Jordan, owners of the Speedway, Wiscasset’s Feed Our Scholars and Parents in Education groups are presenting their first coordinated fundraising event, and it’s sure to please and delight children of all ages. 

And remember, it is all to support Wiscasset school kids, whether it’s providing packs of weekend foods or underwriting swim lessons, the groups’ objective is to help community children have a good start in life, so put it on your calendar to enjoy a day of vehicle bliss.
