Second graders and Boothbay Region Elementary School physical education teacher Lauren Brown would like to thank YMCA aquatics director Shane Pennington and her staff for providing quality swim lessons for our students.

Special thanks also to Larry Brown for his leadership with the Annual Penguin Plunge, and the many participants who jumped into the frigid Atlantic Ocean on New Year's Day to raise funds for this program. Thanks to you folks, our children will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to be safe in and around the waters of this beautiful peninsula.
