Dear Editor:

On Monday, Oct. 7, in the heavy rain, our car died a couple miles from home. We were sitting on the side of the road with hazards blinking when the USPS van on our route pulled up and stopped beside us. The new (to us) driver, Amanda, asked if we were OK.  It was so nice of her. We were OK enough since we were waiting for AAA, so, after getting our assurances, she said a good-bye and went in her way.
