Thank you Rebuilding Together
Dear Editor:
Saturday, Sept. 23, two trucks pulled into my driveway loaded with landscaping gear and a team of volunteers. They came to do a fall cleanup and prepare my yard for winter. They chopped down some invading vines, cut back the overgrown shrubs to clear paths for the fuel delivery men to get to the oil line and tank, picked up the storm debris and weed whacked everywhere. They were a team from Rebuilding Together.
Rebuilding Together is a group of professional builders, tradesmen and others who gather to volunteer their time and talent doing needed repairs for the disabled and aged so than safely remain in their own homes.
As a visually impaired octogenarian beneficially, I am pleased to shine a spotlight on this vital work that is being done for those in need in our community. If you would like to support this program through volunteering, financial donation, or in other ways, contact Rebuilding Together, P.O. Box 22, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538, or call 207-380-5719, Rebuilding Together LC.org.
Thank you, Rebuilding Together, many times over.
