Tentative schedule for Union Street pump station work
The Boothbay Harbor Sewer District has published a tentative schedule and traffic flow for work on the Union Street Pump Station. The first announcement outlines the work which will occur from where Union and Oak streets meet to just beyond where Smith and Oak streets meet. This phase of work is tentatively set for Friday, Oct. 20 to Thursday, Oct. 26. Townsend Avenue will become a two-way traffic pattern with no on-street parking, from the Oak, Pear and Townsend street intersection all the way to the Oak, Commercial, McKown and Townsend street intersection.
From Wednesday, Oct. 25 to Monday, Nov. 6, the Union Street work will take place. An announcement states that alternating, one-way traffic will be used while Union Street is closed. Detour signs will be posted at the Union and School street intersection to move traffic along.
Flaggers and signs will be posted for both phases of work. For more information, visit https://www.bbhsd.org/sites/boothbaysewer/files/uploads/union_st_pump_station_timeline.pdf
