Mrs. Ragon was a 1955 graduate of Cony High School. Through out her younger years she established many close friendships that continued through her later years. Her strong bond with friends meant the world to her. In 1989, she married Burnham "Bud" Ragon and they made their home in Manchester. Sylvia and Bud loved to travel and especially enjoyed their times at the Kingfield home as well as many winters in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Mrs. Ragon was a member of the Kennebec Valley Garden Club. She was proud of featuring her gardens on the annual tours as well as the holiday decorating of the Blaine House. She enjoyed antiquing, painting, decorating her home and playing bridge at the Augusta Country Club.

She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.

Mrs. Ragon was predeceased by her husband; her brother, John G. MacDonald; and two sisters, Martha Anderson and Katherine MacDonald.

She is survived  by her nephews and nieces: Stephen MacDonald, Thomas MacDonald, James MacDonald, Eric Anderson, Ellen Fuller, Kathleen Lannicelli, Katrina Anderson and Kirsten Lausier. Mrs. Ragon also had many great nephews and nieces who were very dear to her.

The family would like to thank Renaissance Quality Home Care for the compassionate, dignified care they provided Sylvia during the last few months.
