Dear Editor:

Kudos to Susan Brackett and her committee for their efforts to raise funds to save the Kenniston Hill Inn from demolition. As one of the peninsula's most historic buildings, the need to preserve it is critical, and the coordination to spearhead such a cause is immense. Raising the funds to move it is certainly challenging. I am assisting Susan as much as I can. I hope the communities of Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb and Southport will do the same.

To those who have donated already, thank you! If you would like to donate, please make your check payable to the BCA, “Move Kenniston Hill Inn” account. It may be sent to Deb Todte, P.O. Box 375, Boothbay, ME 04537, or it can be dropped off at the Boothbay Harbor Framers at the Meadow Mall. No checks will be deposited until the goal is met. In the event that the goal is not met, all checks will be returned undeposited.
