The Southport Island Association (SIA) are very proud to be able to announce the launch of their Summer Concerts Series, "Southport Island Musicfest."

Three outdoor concerts taking place on Southport Island June through August, will shine a spotlight on this beautiful island, and raise funds for much needed community programs. The line-up for this summer features these family-friendly local acts: Motor Booty Affair - Wednesday, June 21; Piano Men (The music of Elton & Billy Joel) - Wednesday, July 19; and The Mallett Brothers - Wednesday, Aug. 30.

Each concert will be all-age events and will take place in a beautiful oceanside setting at sunset on the lawn of the Newagen Seaside Inn. All ticket sale proceeds raised will go to support the SIA Helping Hands Fund.

In the past year alone, SIA has been able to provide over $46,000 in charitable donations to a host of deserving organizations. From providing educational scholarships to learners of all ages, rebuilding needed housing, and providing confidential assistance for a variety of individual needs, to supporting vital community assets such as Southport Central School, the Food Pantry, New Hope for Women MidCoast, Life Flight and the Ambulance Fund.
