Student Aid Fund donor reception held
The Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund (BRSAF) donor reception was held July 17 at Boothbay Region Land Trust's Oak Point Farm.
For the 2024/25 academic year the BRSAF board approved over $500,000 in grants for graduates of Boothbay Region High School. And on July 17, BRSAF thanked the donors whose contributions make the program possible. The reception was held from 5 to 7 p.m.
BRSAF began in 1964. Grants are based on a financial need. As the cost of higher education increases, so does the commitment of BRSAF to assist Boothbay Region High School graduates to pursue higher education be it a university, community college, technical school, trade school, certificate program or graduate degree.
The goal of the Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund is to assure the future growth of award amounts. It is important to remember that these are grants and not loans. While the awards from the BRSAF are not academic-merit-based, they support the aspirations of BRHS graduates to further their education in whatever field they choose; these grants support the goals and dreams of our graduates. Nothing stands alone in this world, and so, by supporting BRHS graduates, we are strengthening and supporting our community.
The Annual Fund Campaign for the 2025/26 school year begins Nov. 1, 2024!
