Considering the position you are running for, what do you feel are the three most pressing issues:
Affordable homes, housing. We have tasked our town manager with working to develop affordable quality homes. We are very close to seeing this finally come to fruition with help from several investors that he is working with. Jobs. We have started the process to hopefully get water/sewer to the industrial park with zero financial impact to the taxpayer. If successful, this will provide more opportunity for new businesses in the area that produce quality jobs. Schools: Without 1-2, you can’t increase enrollment for our schools. Our school’s success is very important to maintaining a balanced demographic for our area. I want today’s kids to have the same choices that I had as a youth. We are facing a huge decision in the near future on our schools, student enrollment is a huge factor in the decision process.
Any other thoughts on why you are running or what you can bring to the office:
I have had the pleasure of serving as your representative for 12 years. To represent the community that I grew up in is an honor. I have learned a lot during my time and feel that my experience will serve the town well over the next 3 years. We have worked hard to keep taxes down while balancing growth with quality of life for residents. I would like to continue to represent you. I am always open to discussing any issue you may have. I have helped many residents (and will continue to do so) navigate the sometimes confusing town process.
