St. Andrews Auxiliary May Party

Thu, 05/20/2021 - 3:45pm

St. Andrews Auxiliary shined up an old silver punch bowl from their busy Thrift Shop and served up a variety of timely community projects yesterday. It was a May Party whirlwind of activity.

Working from the American Legion Hall, over 40 Auxiliary members sent brunch, flowers, and ‘Welcome Back’ signage to St. Andrews Urgent Care staff who just returned to Boothbay from a six-month COVID-19 Response assignment at Miles Campus. Urgent Care is now open daily 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Auxiliary Kitchen Crew, led by Social Chair Linda Clapp and delivered by Clinic Volunteer and Auxiliary member Abbie Shaw, prepared a ‘Grab & Go’ luncheon for all the Boothbay Y Vaccination Clinic staff and volunteers.

With Memorial Day and July 4th in mind, another Auxiliary team put final touches on American flag decorations that were personalized and sent to St Andrews Village Gregory Wing for the resident’s indoor and outdoor trees.

Also featured at the May Party event was a display of fabrics and quilting. Some items were sold to benefit the St. Andrews Thrift Shop. Many beautiful, hand-crafted pieces are available for sale at the Thrift Shop in Meadow Mall.

Another group of volunteers prepared invitations for the upcoming St. Andrews Auxiliary Volunteer Recognition to be held July 21 at Newagen Seaside Inn with featured speaker, Cindy Wade, the new President of LincolnHealth.
