Spruce Point Inn (sprucepointinn.com), the historic 55-acre forested oceanfront resort in Boothbay Harbor, previews resort enhancements, new branding and a new dining concept for guests opting to “staycation” starting June 4.

Reliant on a long list of locally fished, farmed and harvested resources, the Inn welcomes new chef Rick Koplau and has reimagined their bistro, previously known as Bogie’s, as The Salty Stag, a casual dining spot designed to be the cheerful hearth of the resort. Extending onto the waterfront Grandview Deck, will be the outdoor place for toasting the sunset end of a perfect day with closest family and friends.

The resort has also welcomed a new general manager, Gil Hartman, to the Spruce Point Inn family. Hartman brings passionate leadership and a doubling-down on genuine hospitality that the Inn is known for.

“It is an honor to be joining such a wonderful team and such a special place. I’m really looking forward to welcoming and meeting our guests,” said Hartman. “We have been busy with our refresh, as well as ensuring we’re taking all precautions in order to provide a safe and soothing environment for our guests.”

Maine residents (and out-of-staters meeting the Governor’s self-quarantine guidelines) are invited to enjoy a staycation at Spruce Point Inn and fall in love with the resort and local area, all over again. Spruce Point Inn is now accepting reservations starting June 4. Guests can choose from private cottages, the historic Inn, and spacious woodland or oceanview lodges. June guests will be among the first to experience The Salty Stag and Grandview Deck. In addition to the fresh flavors and beautiful natural setting, guests will also enjoy the many amenities of the resort including two private outdoor pools, kayaks, bikes, and the motor launch..

“It is wonderful to have a place like Spruce Point Inn to return to, a place that holds onto tradition while sprucing-up each year with fresh amenities and services designed to keep our guests renewed and inspired,” said owner Jeff Broaden. “In speaking with many guests last year, we took careful note of what they loved ‘as is,’ and what they wanted to see us refine. The enhancements we’re making to our outlets, interiors and programming are less about change and more about celebrating our heritage and what makes Spruce Point Inn such an inherently special place to begin with.”

“Spruce Point Inn is true retreat, and a bit off-the-beaten-path,” Hartman added. “We understand that our coastal retreat offers the type of renewal that is needed now, more than ever. Our low density, private accommodations, and wide-open spaces create the perfect environment for guests to safely enjoy a relaxing getaway. We look forward to welcoming guests to commune with nature, new surroundings, fresh flavors and a bit of much-needed cheer.”

Flexible cancellations policies are in place should guests’ travel plans change. Reservations are available online at SprucePointInn.com or by calling 207-633-4152.
