Volunteers at Boothbay Region Historical Society traded their white inspection gloves for leather gardening ones April 27. Outfitted with rakes, loppers and tarps, the team took advantage of a beautiful spring day to clean up the museum property for the upcoming season. 

Executive Director Aimee Keithan said the day drew several longtime members and friends, and some new faces. She said it was a good time to learn a little about the organization, volunteer opportunities and the great people involved.

The museum is open, free of charge, Thursday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 72 Oak St., Boothbay Harbor.
