A spirit-filled Holiday Festival
Dear Editor:
The Boothbay Region Garden Club’s annual Holiday Festival held on Dec. 6 and 7 was really full of the Christmas spirit of giving, laughter and joy. We are so thankful to live in this community that celebrates, works and shares together. First, thank you to St Columba's Episcopal Church, not only for our Holiday Festival, but also for being the home for our monthly meetings. Your beautiful space makes us shine.
We also want to thank Janson's Clothing, Kaler’s Restaurant, Mama D’s Restaurant, Pinkham’s Market, Bonnie's A Cut Above, Enchantments, MHC Design, Smiling Cow, Calypso, Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club, St. Andrews Thrift Shop, Sweet Bay, Barters Island Bees, Blue Moon Cafe, Ports of Italy, Red Cup Coffeehouse, Shear Artistry Hair Salon, Tugboat Inn, Cozy Harbor B&B, Ruth Adams, Dawn Burgoyne, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and A Silver Lining for your generous donations.
Thank you to all the members of the Garden Club who crafted, baked, cooked “Dinners Ready,” collected and repurposed treasures, decorated trees, organized and came together to make the Holiday Festival so full of the Christmas spirit while having fun too. A special thank you to the crew of strong volunteers with trucks who hauled the tables, staging and heavy boxes early Thursday and late Saturday.
But, the biggest thank you is to the members of this community who came out on those really cold mornings to share in the magic of the Holiday Festival and help support the projects and programs of the Boothbay Region Garden Club. We hope we brightened your day as much as you did ours.
