The deadline for Southport’s municipal election nomination papers closed Jan. 4, and only one of the races will be contested. Selectman Mary Lou Koskela and Fire Chief Gerry Gamage are both running unopposed for re-election, but School Committee Chairman Adam Harkins is not. Madeleine Kaler submitted her nomination papers by the noon Jan. 4 deadline to seek a three-year term on the school committee, as did Harkins. All three municipal offices are for three-year terms. 

Election Day is Monday, March 4. The annual town meeting is that night at 7 p.m. at the Southport town hall.
